Dog/puppy food - dry or canned

Cat/kitten food - dry or canned

Dried baby cereal - rice or mixed is best

Baby food - fruit or mixed fruit flavors, especially banana

Apple sauce - no sugar added is preferred, but all is welcome

 

Non-clumping kitty litter

Paper towels, bleach, liquid dish or hand soap, general cleaning supplies

Antibacterial wipes, liquid hand sanitizer

Laptop, computer driven projector and screen for presenting wildlife education

 

Heated Aquarium Hoods for the nursery aquariums

Incubators for species that are temperature and humidity sensitive

Flat trailer that is large enough for a release cage that has a footprint of 4 feet by 8 feet.

 

This is by no means an exhaustive list, there are many things great and small that we use everyday. In general, cash donations are used to provide for the day to day needs of the wildlife in our care.

The Wildlife Center is open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Our trained staff is available to answer all of your questions or a refer you to an individual wildlife rehabilitator if necessary.

In the evenings, 713-643-WILD and our website, www.WRandE.org (under Wildlife FAQs) provide valuable information on handling and care until the animal can be transported to the Wildlife Center.
